National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2005 is included in the programs by incorporating the five guiding principles that envisage
- Learner centered curriculum (learner centricity),
- Founded on the learner’s ability to construct his or her own knowledge (constructivist learning) thus giving primacy to the learner.
- Teaching to facilitate knowledge construction (teacher as a facilitator),
- Diagnostic evaluation to remediation (examination as a formative tool),
- Refining and improving learning processes (process-result based approach).
A challenge is to create a new paradigm of education by incorporating these principles of the NCF, and linking it with social development of socio-economic and cultural nature for the 21st century society with A3 (Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere) connectedness and Tablet PC access device.
