National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2005

National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2005 is included in the programs by incorporating the five guiding principles that envisage

  1. Learner centered curriculum (learner centricity),
  2. Founded on the learner’s ability to construct his or her own knowledge (constructivist learning) thus giving primacy to the learner.
  3. Teaching to facilitate knowledge construction (teacher as a facilitator),
  4. Diagnostic evaluation to remediation (examination as a formative tool),
  5. Refining and improving learning processes (process-result based approach).

A challenge is to create a new paradigm of education by incorporating these principles of the NCF, and linking it with social development of socio-economic and cultural nature for the 21st century society with A3 (Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere) connectedness and Tablet PC access device.
